I have got a patient record from my GP surgery. In one of yhe appoitments the GP said "stress at work". I am now filling out critical illness application and one of questions is whether i expetienced Stress in the past. Shall I say YES ? Or is it a minor episode and not medical condition? OR can I ask GP to change the record and not yi say STress but Uncomfortable situation?

I'm a bit confused. Did you see your GP because you were suffering from stress? Or are you hinting that you saw him/her some other reason and it hasn't been recorded properly?

I'm not sure what a critical illness application is - is it an insurance thing? If so , then as things stand, you must say yes. Otherwise, you will invalidate your application.

If in doubt declare it, there was a high profile case a few years ago where they refused to pay out over something realky trivial and the family ended up with a massive legal fight as well as dealing with terminal cancer.

As pippi says.

Did you go for the appt with GP about stress- related symptoms, or was your GP making a casual observation?

There is a difference between 'being stressed' and 'work being stressful'.
Lots of people have work that is potentially stressful, but they handle it well and without allowing it to cause them stress.

I'd see your GP and ask about the comment- out of context it's hard for us to know.
