So This just appeared on my back a week or so ago. Its raised and dry and flaky.. Doesnt itch or hurt or anything.. What could it be? And why would it randomly appear

RebeccaRHY1 Sat 09-Apr-16 23:25:35

Oh its probably between 1-1.5 centimetre circle

How old are you? The reason I ask is that I've got a couple. Went straight to the GP, he assured me it was my age! Bastard! Every single time I've been in the last few years, he tells me it's an age thing. Git is only about 30 too! grin

It looks like eczema to me. Could be wrong though.

Im 29
I thought maybe exzema too but the rest of my skin isnt dry and it doesnt itch like eczema would?!?

MaureenMLove Sun 10-Apr-16 00:13:07

Oops, that's me told! Obviously 29 is a fabulous age and I'm sure your not a git like my doctor! grin

Seriously though, I do have exactly the same and he told me it was nothing to worry about. Even gave me some websites to look at with the proper name of them, but I can't remember what it was.

Google guttate psoriasis. Have you had a sore throat recently?

AuditAngel Sun 10-Apr-16 00:31:55

I also thought Psorasis, although I haven't heard of that type of psoriasis

I was going for psoriasis too - DP often has pitches like that on his back

AJ279 Sun 10-Apr-16 00:47:38

I have psoriasis and it looks exactly like this- i have a lot more than that but it can sometimes form from a cut or scratch if you've had any damage to the skin in that area?

Looks like impetigo to me. You need to get to the Doc either way.
