I've been having irregular periods for a few months now. Sometimes 28 days, sometimes 21 this month 14. My doctor is sending me for an ultrasound. Are they looking for PCOS or are there other things they're looking for? I'm trying to get pregnant so I'm feeling a little blue

Hi Cakes! I've just seen a thread on active about unanswered messages and thought I'd take a look and see if there were any I could help with, and yours caught my eye. I'm by no means an expert, and hopefully someone with more info will be along at some point, but I believe they can see indications of PCOS at an ultrasound, and that could account for irregular periods. At mine, they told me I had mildly polycystic ovaries. I believe they can also spot any cysts.

You may find that you get more answers on the conception boards if you post there. I'm on a couple of threads there, and there are lots of wonderful people with a wealth if info who are more than happy to help, and who provide tremendous support when you're ttc. Have you been trying long?
