Apologies in advance for the moany self pitying post. AF arrived at the weekend. Started off ok but a bit surprising as I've just started micronor and was under the impression that it could potentially stop periods. I woke up to scenes of a massacre in my bed this morning and have just been gushing since. Every time I move it feels like I'm wetting myself. I'm bleeding through a tampon and sanitary towel every hour. There's no pain but I've never bled this heavy before so I'm a bit freaked out.

For background, I was being investigated after having a period continually for nearly 9 months. Blood /smear test were normal, a scan showed a tiny solitary fibroid which they didn't think was the cause. Generally it was chalked up as 'one of those things' and micronor prescribed last week.

does anyone have any tips on how to deal with this? I've got so much I need to do and I feel wiped out already

Tia

I think you should ring for advice as that doesn't sound right at all. I'm not in the UK so I don't know what the number is anymore. You really need to see a Dr if you are losing that much blood. Are you on your own or do you have someone to be with you if you have kids? You may feel very light headed & faint.
