I think I have fibromyalgia don't think my GP will believe me though

Reasons I think I might have fibromyalgia
Some days I ache all over but most day I have a sore neck, shoulders, knees and buttocks/lower back/hips, sometimes it's hard to raise my arms too.

I am constantly tired and want to sleep all the time, I go to bed at 10.30 and have to drag myself out of bed at 7.30 and feel exhausted. Have naps during the day too and occasionally I feel so weighed down and tired I spend most of the day in bed.

I'm very sensitive to noise, light and the cold.

I have depression and anxiety.

I have loads of headaches and migraines

I have discussed these symptoms with my GP I'm on ADs and have had loads of blood tests for anaemia, vit B12, vit D, thyroid etc. I think the GP thinks it's all in my head and I hate going to see her.

I'm scared as I'm about to start a demanding uni course and don't know how I'll get on

If you're not happy with the GP ask to see another one in the practice. Explain how you feel and ask if it could possibly be Fibro. If they say 'no it isn't', then ask 'well, what do you think it is then?' DON'T be fobbed off.

You should be seen by a Rheumatologist to determine if it is, as there are one or two other conditions with very similar symptoms.
