Swollen lymph nodes in groin - referred for ultrasound

I posted on here last week about being able to feel three glands in my groin - 2 on one side, 1 on the other. One side is very tender. Went to GP today and she referred me for blood tests and an ultrasound 'to be sure we don't miss anything'. I know it's a good thing to be taken seriously but I'm a bit spooked now. I've had occasional night sweats over last few weeks - which is not unusual for me when I've got a cold (which I seem to have had on and off since Xmas). Oh I do hope my lymph glands have just gone into overdrive because of January lurgies. Anyone experienced similar?
