I am considering having a breast reduction but am very nervous about the pain afterwards and the things that could go wrong. has anyone had it done and what was it like? were you pleased with the results?

hi my best friend had it done end of last year on the 1st dec, she took 4 weeks off work, things she couldn't do were get dressed i.e stretch arms into the air, couldn't drive, or open and close doors for 2 weeks, however it has all been worth it, she is very pleased with the results and has just gained sensitivity back in both nipples!

I have three friends who have had them. One who has some of the largest tits I have ever seen - I never knew her pre reduction but she had her reduction before she had children and says when she got pg the first time they grew back and they are still here and huge 11 years later.

A second friend lost about 9 stone and then had one - mainly because of stretched skin I think.

Recently a third friend who has just finished feeding dd2 told me she had had a reduction when she was much younger - she was feelong a little sad about her current post feeding bosom - I have to say I was a little surprised that scaring was quite obvious - and visible above the sides of her bra.

How big are your boobs? At 32b and just about to stop breast feeding i am a little envious of anyone who can muster a handful!

I ha done done two years ago. I was a TA and had the operation done the first Staurday of the Easter holidays was out the next morning and back at work at the beginning of the summer term two weeks later. I was on a morphine self regulated drip and then encouraged to go onto normal painkillers, codeine etc. Best thing I ever did.
