Gp has just told me I have rosacea. I suspected it myself but he didn't really give me any information other than pack me off with metronidazole cream. Oral antibiotics were suggested but as I'm prone to thrush with any antibs I thought I'd try the cream first.
I assume I need to bin my cleansers/moisturisers? I'm using a micellular cleansing water and boots no 7 moisturiser. Are there any particular products I should use and ones I should avoid like the plague? What about make-up and sun care lotions? Make-up brushes etc?
Do food and dietary changes help at all? I did ask about exercise as I know it's a trigger of mine and I run 3/4 times a week but he assured me it wouldn't make it worse in the long-term, is this true?
Sorry for all the questions but it's something I would like to get on top of as I'm becoming increasingly paranoid and self-conscious about my skin. A search on the internet just worried me :(
