DH ears blocked, self syringed, no joy, more deaf, any advice?

That's it in a nutshell, I have booked him in today for 2nd week in March to have them professionally syringed. She said he has to continue with the drops for three weeks but is there anything else he could do? I told him I didn't like the sound of the self syringing kits and now he is more deaf since doing it.

Meanwhile my ears are bleeding because he has the TV on so loud!

Any advice appreciated thanks.

I have had this problem, it turned out to be an inner ear infection. Are you sure it is just wax? If not might be worth getting someone to have a look. But if it is just normal wax syringing may do the trick. As for TV it will have to be subtitles. The live ones are hilarious.

It was only when my doctor syringed my ears that he realised they weren't just blocked, but they had an infection and needed a course of ABs to clear it.

Get the syringed at the docs. Use warm olive oil instead of that nasty fizzy stuff. I got my hearing back after proper treatment.

Keep going with the syringing. I can clear mine but it takes some doing.

Not sure if appropriate in these cases but has anyone tried ear candles? Used them on DH and then I tried them (this is a good 8-10 years ago now) and you would not believe the disgusting crap that came out of our ears! DH especially, it was soooo gross.

Yes microsuction.

Look up Clear Ear clinic .

And there is no need for drops.
