Recovery from ankle sprain/fracture

Hoping someone can identify with weird symptoms I'm having! I sprained and had possible fracture on my left ankle 7 weeks ago. Have been wearing a walking boot for most of that time and am now weaning myself off it (physically and mentally!).

But I've been having much wooziness (dizzy, shaky, nausea) when walking in 'normal' shoes. GP thinks it's coincidence and prob an inner ear virus but now the only time I feel this way is walking outside in shoes.

I wondered if it was just my body and brain starting to talk to each other again, or even a touch of anxiety?

Anyone experience similar recovering from injuries?

I don't think it's related and this is my area.
It could be a touch of anxiety. Sometimes getting back to normal after an illness or injury can be difficult, or it could be an inner ear problem. Have you been told about proprioreception exercises? They will help reprogramme your ankle and your balance. You can look them up on you tube. HTH
