... and now I can't concentrate. I hadn't left it ages and ages before going to the GP, but I'm still wondering why on earth I didn't do anything about it earlier. God knows how I'll get anything done between now and the appointment. Keep feeling really weepy. Keep telling myself it'll be fine - even if it is melanoma, there's lots they can do. Keep feeling weepy again. Aaaargh.

Please tell me calming and reassuring things. Thanks.

my DH had dodgy moles. He had them removed, they were the nasty ones but after they were cut off and one visit back to cut extra area round one, he was fine. We keep an eye on remaining moles. Also, he had left his for a long time too. It is amazing what they do these days, the NHS is amazing. I know two weeks is a long time but try to think positive and lean on your friends. Friends are also amazing.

thanks footle, good tip. I'll call on Monday morning once they'll definitely have my referral from the GP.
you too music. that's exactly what I meant by calming and reassuring. v glad all turned out well for your DH. have friends coming this evening - they are nice and distracting people and I think a few drinks will help.
I have the sort of skin that you read everywhere is vulnerable to this sort of thing, but there's such a difference between in theory and in practice ...
