Best Multi-Vitamin after illness?

Since the start of November last year, I've have had a sinus infection, 3 UTI's, the flu virus that morphed into Bronchitis and a stomach bug. I'm battling with thrush and have another skin thing going on long term. I'm prone to the odd bout of cystitis also, have had one since November. I have had blood tests and iron levels are fine but I feel low on energy and really I feel I need a boost. Can anyone advise me on what is a good tonic-multi vitamin or anything else that might work. Or should I be doing something else, my GP is only ok, fire fighter but not really pro active. He makes me feel like I'm whinging. I know there are worse things out there I'd just love to be more energetic and healthy. All I'm taking at the moment is some probiotics. Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

Was your ferritin high up over 90? If not, it could be that. You could try floradix for iron and b vits (not sure if this is any good for thrush though). Also, vit d is probably at its lowest so vit d3 a few thousand iu daily wouldn't do any harm

Another recommendation for Floradix plus a course of ginseng can sometimes give your immune system a boost.

Floradix is brilliant.

thrush might be from antibiotics but I highly recommend probiotic tablets (I use probio advance formula) and plain unsweetened natural yogurt. You can eat the yogurt or if v uncomfortable, soak a tampon in some then um...insert. Its messy but gives great relief. Cut down on your sugar intake for a while too. If you want to use canestan and get free prescriptions, see if your local pharmacy has a "minor illness" consultancy. Dont mention canestan, just say you would like a recommendation for treatment of thrush. You will get it (or generic type, which is just the same) prescribed for free.

My aunt did a lot of research and recommended Centrum multivitamin as the best. Her husband had cancer and they researched everything they put in their bodies.

Thanks for such fast replies. Doc didn't mention ferritin just that haemoglobin was fine. Can't wait to feel better.

I always buy a bottle of Bio-strath Elixir when I'm feeling run down or recovering from illness. A great pick-me-up!

I'm just recovering from a bout of flu a week ago. I still feel very tired and weak all the time with zero energy. I've started taking Metatone tonic from boots. It's full of B vitamins & I'm upping my vitamin C intake too. Am hoping this kicks in soon as I hate feeling this way!
