I have just had a call from my sons counsellor . She has had to Pass this information on to me .

My son has told her that when he gets in a hot bath he has 2 lumps at the bottom of his stomach . She seems to think its glands but did stress she's not medically trained so I need to seek medical advice .
He also mentioned to get he has unexplained bruising on his body . It just comes up .

Obviously I need to get him to the G.P surgery but won't get an appointment for about 2 weeks .

Do I rush this and stress it as an urgency?

Or are the glands a male thing that just becomes prominent in the bath ??

He is 15 years old

Any suggestions and advice would be welcome

Have you phoned the surgery re making an appt for your son?.

He needs to be seen by the GP asap.

Why would you not be able to get an appt for two weeks?. This is appalling if this is the case; I would look into changing GP practice if the wait is that long and certainly complain.

I've explained the urgency and they have given me Friday morning at 9.00am that's it .
I explained I have to do the school run and I'm about 5 miles away but that's the only time the can fit me in otherwise I'll be waiting until the end of next week.

Looks like my 5 year old will have to come with us and I'll drop her in later .
I phoned DP at work to ask if it's a boy thing and are they something to do with the make anatomy ( the lumps at the bottom of his stomach ) he said no .
I asked him why he didn't tell me and he said he didn't want to . I'm a little upset he told the counsellor and not me but I'm relieved at the same time that she told me

He says they randomly pop up for no reason ( the bruises and the lumps )

I would consider going to A & E as soon as possible rather than see the GP on Friday. This warrants medical attention earlier than Friday.
