Hello, sympathies. I work with patients with these problems alot. Sounds really like you need a repair, called a ventral rectopexy, done by a suitably skilled colorectal surgeon. Physiotherapy after this will help to restore function and strengthen your pelvic floor, but the "recto-anal intussusception" bit basically means that your rectum is folding down on itself, effectively forming a partial block, so pooing is difficult and sometimes impossible. Surgery is definitely helpful, but you need to discuss it further with your consultant. I'm happy for you to PM me if I can help further, all the best.
