Oh balls, I hoped the GP would tell me to go away and eat some prunes

She thinks I should have a colonoscopy sad

Wasn't entirely prepared for this, so I'm a bit unnerved. For various reasons I'm feeling very mortal at the moment.

Just a bit of a worry I guess ... hope the wait isn't too long.

If they think it's serious you should be seen in a matter of weeks.

I had the opposite problem to you grin, was referred to hospital at end Jan and had surgery mid March, having had 2 sep tests in between.

Fingers crossed for you.

The appointment for mine last year came fairly quickly.

Hope all is well (as it was for me).

I've had weird constipation (Maltesers!) and mucus and blood in my poo, lots of bloating and farting for the last few weeks. Very unusual for me. Dad has a history of bowel cancer - nothing serious, caught early, just dodgy polyps really. Trying not to worry but it's hard.

Thanks Footle. My DH and Dad have had it done before so I've had more gory details than were ever necessary hmm
