Please help I feel sick with worry and could really do without this at the moment! DH had the snip 6 weeks ago. Last period decided to start the mini pill just to tide us over with contraception until he gets the all clear, hopefully after 12 weeks. Been taking it just a week. Last night had sex, and this morning I realised I had forgotten to take the pill yesterday. So cross with myself, just too stressed and crap at the moment. But definately do not want to get pregnant. The packet suggests getting emergency contraception, but bearing in mind that the vasectomy will have reduced the sperm anyway, and that I only missed one. I just don't know what to do. I've taken the morning after pill before and it had a horrible affect on me. But then again not as bad as being pregnant of course! I am a worryer, some people don't bleed on the minipill, so in theory there wouldn't be a point when I would know I was ok. WWYD?

Call your doctor and ask them (but if it was me I'd rather spend a day trying not to puke up the MAP than however many weeks worrying I was pregnant..)

I would talk to someone ASAP - GP/family planning clinic/pharmacist, to see whether they would recommend MAP or not. If you haven't taken MAP in last ten years, bear in mind it has changed from oestrogen based to progestogen based, so should have a lot less side effects.

PS - MAP is more effective the sooner you take it so would try and get advice today.
