My cervical cells on the inside of the cervix are abnormal and my surgeon says I have to have the cells removed under anaesthetic (general).
Has anyone had the same procedure, and how did you find it?

I have had it done and mine was under general too.

I was in and out the same day. If yours is done in the morning they will let you home as soon as you recover from the general, have eaten and been for a wee. A bit sore afterwards but more like cramping pains. You will probably bleed for a while afterwards and have to avoid certain things afterwards. Flying was one of them that surprised me.

You need to take it easy when you get home for a few days, one to let the general get out of your system, but also to recover from the op - no heavy lifting/pulling etc.

It's not too bad though, much better than you probably imagine it to be.

Good luck, hope it goes well.
