I can't make out what it says other than 'this young woman....' and she has been crossed out on the census form.

It is Hilda Mary Webster b1891, living in Sutton Bonnington, Nottinghamshire on the 1911 census.

Can anyone read this please?

It's saying she slept somewhere else on census night I think...
"This young woman slept at ... on.. April & was ... there"

yes, slept, and I think the verb might begin cens- and mean counted in the census.

At Gedling North? Can’t make out the word before “there”.

I agree with "slept" - is the word before there "enumerated"?

I think the note is there because she might have been included on the census form for the other address as well, and they didn't want her to be counted twice.

I think you’re right about enumerated.

It definitely ends in "rated" and enumerated makes sense!

Yes I agree. ‘This young woman slept at Gedling North night 2nd April abd was enumerated there’ then initialled was what I thought too. Can you find her entry in Gedling North parish to confirm this. Plus I’d be interested to see who she was staying with too and if they are connected.

Yes, I also think that the word before "there" is enumerated.

Thank you all, there is a another person by the same name/age on the census with the same occupation, in a nearby location, I guess that will be her as well!

‘And was census rated there’ - that would make sense as she was counted for the census as she had slept at g n that night.
