Book to record family history

Hello,

I hope this is the right place to post this. Sorry if I've made a mistake. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help. I am newlywed, and want to purchase a book where I can record mine and my husband's history for our future child. We don't really know much at all about our parents and their ancestors, so am looking more for something that we can use to record about ourselves and to be able to add records about our children and (eventually) grandchildren. I've tried looking online, but it doesn't really say much about the contents, or the ones that do seem to focus more on ancestors, which as I mentioned, we don't know too much about.

Thank you :)

Hello Smile

Can't link to anything you won't have already found on google, but you could always do something handmade which would be appreciated in years to come.

Are you planning to do some research on your ancestors? I warn you, it's addictive Grin I'm sure people here would help get you started if that's what you want.

I have comletely failed to join mumsnet as for some reason it doesnt like any password i put in. This message is about the word decline as cause of death. I do not think it would have been tb, they knew what tb was and would have put it in1837.i also have decline on my gt grandfather in1866.i am presumng he actually had a bi cuspid aortic valve (which i have inherited from his son, my grandfather). He would have gradually become short of breath and declined asthe heart valve failed. They would not have known what was wrong, just that he got weaker and eventually died.

Yours was a17 year old on a farm, starvation very unlikely in that case. It was more liikely some congenital problem which they didnt understand. Jennifer
