Please !!!HEEEELP!!! Is my laptop completly toast??

Ok I'm trying not to panic! I have a dell inspiron 1501. For the last couple of weeks it has been saying the battery is going to need replacing soon, then suddenly it started freezing up when | went online.

I restarted it and it came up with a 2000-0146 fault I was going to ring dell but when I tried to go online to get the number it wouldn't start. A helpful relative has been round run chk disc and it all started working It was fine for a couple of days and then it came up with a big blue screen, it won't start I can't get in touch with Dell and I have just realised that I haven't backed up my photo's for several months....

Please someone tell me what to do....

Wait till monday and speak to dell? or take it to pc world? Or is there anything I can try???
