You can use it to watch movies but I think you need to have a mahoosive memory card - I don't think my card has enough memory to do it. Using using my card thing I have put MP3 audio stories and poems onto my Nintendo DS for DS1 to listen to. It does other stuff too (I haven't used) like a diary/organiser thingy...

you can watch movies on the older ds using one of these cards, the screen is very small though! they have to be in a specific format and I can't remmeber what it is (DH had it).

We've got supercards, which are similar to R4 cards in our DSs (not i). Each supercard has a memory card with games on. Some have been downloaded, most have been copied from original games.

It's meant that rather than buying multiple copies of games (we have 4 DSs in the house) we buy / rent / borrow one game and copy it for all of us. As each card can have many games (ours have about 20 but there's room for LOADS more) it means you're not having to switch game cards about and so they're not getting lost now (they did before).

It's not entirely legal though. Having the card isn't illegal, but copying, downloading and sharing the files is illegal. I don't think anyone has ever been prosecuted for it though.

More advice on this site...

be warned though, there are several brands of card, that site is writted by techies - it's like reading a different language!

thanks everyone. I can;t decide which to go for - the DSlite or the DSi - there's not a huge difference price wise at the moment and was originally just going to get the DS lite now not so sure
