It would seem as though I am sending MYSELF spam! How do I stop it?

Over the past week or so I have started receiving emailings from my own email address (actual adress as opposed to display name), with lovely titles of a sexual nature.

Any idea how I can stop these (I don't want them to just go into Spam, I want them to be gone. I am that my dad will receive one of these......

You aren't actually sending them - it's just that the people who are sending them have a way of putting your email address in the "from" box when it arrives. That way, you don't have their email address to hassle them back!

You may be able to reduce spam through settings on your ISP or your email program, but nothing is foolproof. Your dad won't receive any from you, because they aren't coming from you. If he gets them from the same people, his will show his email address IYSWIM.
