Anyone know how I can add an Amazon widget to a Moonfruit (non HTML) site?

I want to add an Amazon widget or even just a link to Amazon Associates but Moonfruit won't accept the HTML link as it's a flash site. Anyway around this?

I am awarding this thread the most baffling title in the universe.

Bumping for you too.

Totally agree BALD

I've only (sort of) realised then when people where talking about a DS they weren't referring to their sons.

oh god it is a ridiculous title! I was so wrapped up in this moonfruit software and the Amazon widget thing I didn't even notice when I posted

I think Lapin might well know the answer - I think it was she who told me about this Moonfruit lark in the first place!

I set up a moonfruit page to try it out.
Found out how to add a link. (not sure what an amazon widget is)

the page I made explains it

Onager - it's really good of you to have done that - thank you.

The problem is that I want to link to Amazon associates and not just add a general link which I'm fine with doing.

Amazon Associates only seems to provide code in HTML which when you put it into that Moonfruit link box doesn't work.

So although I can link to the page I need to generally I wouldn't get the Associates commission which is pretty crucial.

Maybe I'll call Amazon and ask tomorrow...

You simply can't do it Chipmunk. Moonfruit is designed for simple, unbreakable home pages, not generating internet revenue.

You can add a link, choose 'Text Link' instead of 'Text and Image' on the Amazon Associates site.

But this is really not what Moonfruit (or Amazon Associates) is for. Come to that, this is not what Mumsnet is for either.

Kind of solved this now - thanks for replies.
I managed to set up a link by copying part of the HTML only and got the image as well as text. Hard to explain but it worked and I can click through now and Amazon comes up on the Associates page.

What do you mean Mr V that this is not what MN is for - do you mean you think my question is inappropriate? Or that MN isn't about making money?

If the former - sorry but we do all ask all sorts of questions on here and I didn't think there was anything wrong with this one.

P.s. Mr V - my website isn't primarily about revenue generation - it's not an e-commerce site so it's not a problem that it's in Moonfruit rather than something more complex iyswim. I just needed this one AAssoc link (long story).
