I have a Pentax K1000 (which is older than me) so possibly then? Will I have to go into an actual shop to find out? I can't be bothered! Edinburgh is mad at the moment, not fun with ds!

Just asked DH, who said that they should fit, as long as the 2 cameras are the same make, and as long as the lenses aren't really, really old, as the manufacturer may have changed the lens mount. I guess take one in when you're looking at new ones, to check.

I think quite a lot of them you can - would be mad if they didn't because some good lenses cost a lot more than the camera. Have no idea on yours, what are the lenses? Maybe try googling them to see which slrs if any they are compatible with.

I think most camera manufacturers lenses are interchangeable with their cameras, but you might lose some of the electronic features of the camera/lens, especially if the film camera is old.

I'd suggest a good local indepant camera shop would be your best bet for advice, or jessops.....don't go to dixons; they are useless.

aha, googled. The pentax k200D is compatible with every pentax lens ever made, so as long as I get that one I should be fine. Do I want that one though? I suppose I should go for it just for the lenses.

If they fit (they should if they are both the same brand) you will be able to use them, but depending on the focal length of lenses you may get some blurring at the edges of the pictures, easily cropped out in an editing programme. Not necessarily though, depends what they are. HTH.
