Which chromebook with quick response and excellent battery life?

I'm looking for a chrome book that starts up really quickly and responds rapidly whilst working - plus has an excellent battery life. Probably need something around 14ins screen size and lightweight to carry.

What would you recommend please?

It's got to be not too expensive as it's just for DS to use in class at school.
