How do I remove personal information from the internet

A google search of my name turns up enough information to identify where I live and my childrens school including photos of me with them. Can anyone tell me how I get this info removed. The photos relate to previous facebook profile pictures and I now don't use a photo with my children in it but can't seem to remove the previous one. I don't think my fb profile can be accessed by anyone other than friends, but I'm not sure how to check this.

Hope it helps. By the way the 3dots by the side of the 'Activity Log' block, if you click on them you will get this option.

Its not just Google, there is Ask, Bing, Yahoo. There is a list of the top 100 search engines available.
