Help deleted photos.

My friend deleted 300 baby pics by accident today from her Samsung galaxy phone. She is distraught. Is there anyone who can help her get them back? They are her baby's first christmas and christening. She had not saved them to pc.
I would love to fix this for her.

Which Galaxy is it?

Were the photos saved to a SD card or just to the phone's internal memory?

What I would try is attach the phone to the computer and put it into USB mode.

To do that on my Galaxy from the home screen, I have to go to settings -> More -> USB Utilities -> Connect Storage to PC -> (Insert USB cable) -> Turn on USB Storage

Then install a program called Recuva. Actually it's probably better to install the program first before connecting the phone but it's not critically important which way around you do it.

Using Recuva do a scan of the drive letter which the phone is attached as. Hopefully it will find lots of JPG files which will be the photos.

It's a galaxy ace. Thanks a lot for your help. She doesn't know about memory cards. I will have to talk her through the steps.

Good luck. To maximise her chances she should not download any new apps or take any more photos or add music etc until you've tried to recover the photos.

Update. She is a complete techno phobe. Doesn't even know how to connect her phone to pc. So I will have to go to her house at the weekend and try and sort it for her .
