new laptop advice please

Hi.

I'm buying a laptop, essentially I have no clue.
I want it for internet, maybe netflix, pictures, maybe Sims3. The odd word document..That's about it.

I.don't have huge amounts of money.

I dobt know if I should go as cheap as possible.
Or around the 450 mark ( seems a lot to me) with something with way more spec than I need, to kind of future proof myself as It's likely to be years before I could replace it...
