Hi
Does anyone know how long a pumpkin will survive after I've picked it?
My ds has been growing a pumpkin to carve for halloween, its now so huge i really want to stop it growing. But if i pick it now will it last til halloween?

Yes, should be fine, bring it in somewhere warm - advice generally with squashes/pumpkins is to cure in a warm place (20-25C IIRC) for a fortnight then store at around 15C.
TBH though it should be fine anywhere that isn't freezing cold for just 3-4 weeks.

Keep it somewhere dry and not freezing. Somewhere the air can circulate around it - so not stuck in a corner.
It will be fine

Ok thanks very much. It was our first attempt at pumpkins and wasnt expecting it to grow so huge. We will be eating pumpkin for days!
