A question about honeysuckle and one about leaf blowers

Pic of my honeysuckle below - when it says to hard prune it does it mean right down on the stem part. It's taken years to get it like this and I'm convinced it will go back to square one!

Also which is better a leaf blower or a leaf sucker (into a bag)??

Leaf blowers with a bag I haven't heard great things about being under powered and getting clogged up but don't qoute me on that.My wife loves my small petrol Stihl which once I've warmed up using the choke is very powerful clearing the leaves into piles and then bagged up and straight into the garden bin .But the two stroke petrol mix you need a mixing bottle for but is quite easy and official dealers will assist you with that if needed.

Honeysuckle responds well to a hard prune and grows twice as strong and quickly. Go for it!
Leaf blowers/ collectors, in my previous house I had a 300 yr old oak, an enormous Ash, 6 mature silver birches and a variety of deciduous shrubs. I tried most mechanical collectors, but in the end nothing worked as well as mowing them up from the lawn and brushing them up from hard surfaces.

If you have a signicant amount of leaves, I recommend a blower. I had a blower/vac when I had a smaller garden with few trees, and it coped OK. But now we have an average (not huge) garden with 3 front in back and 3 in front garden, all taller than the house. Vacuum bag fills up in seconds.
I have a petrol powered back pack leaf blower which is the dogs bollocks. Hand held blowers feel heavy very quickly
Blow into a big pile. Scoop up with plastic hands.
