Best veg to grow in a greenhouse?

I want to get a little greenhouse and try my hand at growing some veg. What is the easiest to start with and is there anything about the set up I need to consider?
It's only going to be a small greenhouse.

Tomatoes and chilis? Peppers? Anything that likes warmer temperatures. You need to make sure the greenhouse is ventilated in hot weather and that plants are watered regularly.

tomatoes definitely. Chillies too.

Im having a go at cucumbers in the greenhouse this year too.

you can just put the pots and trays straight on the floor but i like to have some of mine a bit higher so i have a table in mine.

I use my greenhouse for mostly starting off the seeds and developing the seedlings before planting out. I only keep the toms, cucumbers and chillies in permanently.

good luck! (keep the door open when it is very hot!)

Tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and cucumbers all tend to grow more reliably in the greenhouse. I also use ours to start off seeds e.g. Beans and sweet corn before planting them out later in the season. Also flowering plants such as sunflowers can be started off there in a snail-free, bird-free and rodent- free environment. You can garden in the greenhouse whatever the weather - I love going there to do potting on when it's all blustery outside.

Useful features: I have automatic openers on my roof vents which have been really useful as they stop it getting too hot. I also went for a stronger model than the standard which i think was worth it - it has survived 10 years now with no damage, including Storm Doris when the trampoline took off. I didn't bother with purpose built staging which can be quite expensive - I just use old unwanted furniture.

I've been told to get a greenhouse as big as you can because you'll always wish the one you settle on could have been bigger.

Tomatoes, cucumber, chillis, melons. I grew aubergines in an ex bf's greenhouse and the effing earwigs ruined them.
