Bokashi bin and wormery question

I have a regular compost bin for fruit, veg, cutting, grass, etc but I would like to be able to find a way of dealing with cooked food, meat, etc. Would a bokashi bin and wormery do this? I was thinking of fermenting in the bin, throwing into the wormery as phase two then into the ground or compost bin as needed. I've no doubt I'll have enough waste to keep the worms fed as well as the bin ticking over!

I wouldn't put the fermented stuff from the bokashi bin into a wormery as it's quite acidic and the worms don't like that. Wormeries only need small amounts of fruit/veg waste so you could probably run one alongside the compost & bokashi. They don't produce much compost though, i keep mine mainly for the liquid feed it produces. Worms are also a bit fussy and don't like onions or citrus.

Bokashi compost can be buried in a trench to decompose further i think.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I don't really.have space anywhere to bury the bokashi compost so maybe I need a rethink. I found a three layer wormery that apparently is the right size for a 3-4 person house. I'm mainly looking for a way to get rid of cooked food and meat waste that I can't put in my big compost bin, so any suggestions would be appreciated!

You can bokashi, then empty the bokashi bins into your regular compost bin. In theory. I think our bokashi'd meat was attracting unwanted visitors (when i buried it in a trench it was dug up and i then I got rats in the compost bin). So I've given up on bokashi for now and cooked food waste is just going in with general household waste. Though you might find bokashi better, of course.
