Growing in our little cottage garden, presumably self-seeded as I can't remember planting it. The leaf is a little like an aquilegia but the flowers are totally different. It is about three feet tall and rather pretty Smile

Does anyone know what it is please?

Oh, thanks so much! I am usually quite well up on plant names but didn't have a clue about this one!! Off to google it now! Much appreciated Grin

There's a free app called plantnet that identifies plants from a photo. I've only just discovered it but it agrees with holly.

I'm off to photograph more plants to test it out

Hmm... It doesn't seem terribly accurate actually

oh that's pretty; I am also envious of your foxgloves. For some reason I haven't got any this year Sad as last years lot haven't seeded themselves. I love watching bees zoom in and out of the flowers and hearing their muffled buzz

Those ones are new, Gatekeeper, so I can't feel smug about them at all Blush. B&Qs finest and on offer!!! Grin

Foxgloves, around here (NW England ) anyway, come up every other year. There may be a few in the wrong year, but even-numbered years have far more. IME.
