I've grown oregano for years and varying spots around the garden- in old sinks and in the ground but this year isn't a good year . Plant starts off turning slightly yellowish on some of the leaves, then individual stems start drooping, then shrivels and dies backs. It goes through the whole plant eventually. This is happening to all my oreganos- both established clumps and new ones

anyone else- am I in the grip of oregano gryppe!!

Just yesterday I took up my oregano plants as they are looking really terrible; such a shame as they were so big and bushy only a month ago! Sorry no advice, but I know how you feel.

This happened to mine last week. it is in a pot and when I took the plant out it transpired the root ball was dry. I watered it lots and it has recovered. I think the roots must be relatively shallow

Odd since the other sun lovers like rosemary and thyme are fine

But my Cistus has shrivelled up and given u the ghost.

Thym and rosemary tolerate drought pretty well I think.

Is it not exceptionally hot in the UK since while? If it has not rained heavily in a while that could be the reason too.

I hope your plant recovers, it's always a heart breaker to lose one.

they started the 'dreaded droop' before all the warm weather and it's every plant ; its like they have some kind of blight that only effects oregano as all other plants are fine Sad

going to cut it back to ground level and water well and see what happens

Unlikely to be the heat - they're dry lovers, aren't they? Could it be fungal - root and crown rot or something?
