We'll be planting some fruit trees soon and I'm trying to find the tastiest varieties. Hoping for some suggestions for sweetest dessert plums/gages/cherries, like granny used to have in her garden type IYKWIM. Won't be making jams etc, looking for simple eating gorging pleasure.
We have some cooking apple trees and pears however, desperately trying to find sweet and juicy and soft ones yet being offered crunch and tartness. Can't stand Cox etc.
Al help greatly appreciated.

Marshalls and Suttons have some heritage varieties in at the moment, I'm looking at some fruit trees myself for lovely new garden (this is my first visit to the gqrdening section Smile).
Try Victoria plums maybe? They're the traditional variety.

I'd recommend Blaisdon plums, Sunset apples and Beth pear.

Thank you, shall have a look at the Blaisdons and Beths. Victoria is on the list as well.
