Ideas for Mums birthday

I am going to buy my mum this for her birthday which is in 3 weeks time www.next.co.uk/g37668s5#829542g37

I'd like to plant some flowers/plants in it before I give it to her, but I'm totally clueless when it comes to gardening, what would be the best thing to plant?

Thanks

They are lovely.

However, it might be best not to plant them before giving them to her. They are quite large and will weigh a ton when planted up. You may not be able to lift them.

How about giving her vouchers at her local garden centre so she can choose what to put in them.

Yes, I agree, and its nice to buy some compost and plant it up for her when she gets the plants.
I loved watching the DC plant a rose in a container on mothers day. I'm sure it is doing well because they did the planting!
In the past lots of pastel colours and whites were all the rage for containers: this season it is orange and purple, or chocolate and deep reds with a splash of yellow. (though our garden centre is trying to sell off a load of red white and blue plants)
