I have a small semicircular bed against the house wall (we are talking 1m across). There's a Pieris in the middle against the wall and 10 or so small box plants around the edge. Whole thing's been in 2 years so I have a bare strip around the Pieris. I put in some white petunias but within days they were stripped bare.

I won't put snail and slug poison down as we have a lot of birds- what preferably white flowering annuals or even perennials could I put there for colour now?

TIA

Don't know if it is any use but have you tried nemaslug - I get awful slugs and snails and this stuff was fab last year at keeping them away, and safe for birds, pets, children

have seen some white begonias in stock recently that should work, don't think slugs like them too much.
