Bit late for most things I realise, but any bright ideas? So far am thinking of lettuce or rocket, plus some autumn carrots.
Help!

How big is it?

Beetroot, radishes if you're looking for salady things. Could still do runner beans or peas from seed. Or, if you get plants from the garden centre rather than seeds your options are huge.

Pkam - but what plants can you get from the garden centre that will still be ok to plant now? Specific advice for the novice garden woudl be much appreciated.
I have also rather missed the boa. Got over excited last yr - first yr had a garden- and planted 8 courgette plant amongst other things - ended up with 100's of courgettes and a bit of rocket. this yr just planted 2 courgette plants -and other things- pretty much everything dead....

Anything the garden centre are selling should be able to be planted out now; there'll still be loads of choice. I'd pop into to your local one herewego and see what takes your fancy. Just make sure it'll all fit into your space and you don't buy too much of one thing - eight courgette plants must have been 'interesting'! I do four and we live off like our courgettes.

thanks! It's small - about the width of a kitchen cupboard (can you guess what it's made from?) and about 8 foot long.
last year was a disaster - loads of straggly radishes, but nothing else grew! I blame the soil, which (I hope) is now sorted. Will check out garden centre later.
