CELTA (TEFL) Application Form. Anyone found the grammar questions tricky?

Hi everyone,
I’m in the process of applying to do a CELTA course (TEFL). I’ve been going through the form and find the questions tricky. I'm able to correct the badly worded sentences but I’m finding it hard to explain why my version is correct.
I have to go home and revise my grammar book for all the grammatical terms.
I guess I’ll be taught all this on the course.
Has anyone else found it difficult too? Any handy hints would be welcomed. Thanks.

The CELTA is a well regarded course for a reason.

Grammar is not really taught on the course. It's focused much more in how to teach. Self study - preferably before you do the course, is advised.

What were the questions you found difficult? Can you identify what they were asking about even if you didn't know the answer?

Hi everyone,
I spent last night reading up on grammatical terms and correct names of tenses. I hope to get the application sent off this afternoon.
Thanks for your replies.
