DS2 is on track to get excellent maths/science/computing GCSEs and hopefully a pass in English. He is absolutely determined not to stay on for A levels and given his difficulty in producing quality written work, that may well be the right decision for him, but especially if he can get on a good quality acprenticeship.
But how do you know which they are? Is there an OFSTED type grading system? Some seem to be excellent while others are little more than cheap labour. What do we need to look for?
