Cooking with toddlers at a toddler group, ideas please!

I'm looking for an activity to do with toddlers at our local drop-in group, and thought maybe we should try making something to eat, but not sure what. Has anybody done this? Any ideas for something we could do? All the kids have a parent or carer with them, and the ages are anything up to 4. TIA!

decorating biscuits or buns?
Ds1 used to make a sandwich, or a little salad when at pre-school. Would be easy enough to do.

Buns or pizzas

Pizza - prepare dough in advance as it takes about an hour to rise
Children can be given a bit each to roll out, then spread tomato puree over it and sprinkle on whatever they fancy to eat before putting in oven

Shortbread / biscuits - mixing, rolling, cutting with cutters and only takes about 10 mins to bake

A friend of mine runs cooking classes for toddlers and she has done
Easy bread made at start and then cooked to take home
soup, chopped and washed veg with kids
decorated biscuits/gingerbread houses at christmas.

It's not cooking, but how about fruit kebabs?

Very healthy - fun for toddlers to thread the fruit onto the sticks. The only thing to beware of is the sharp pointy bit, but it is not a life-threatening risk.

jam tarts, rice krispie cakes, fruit salad, mini pizza, egg and cress sarnies, pasta salad (COLD) just some of the things i let ds do with me 3.6 and he loves it!

Decorating biscuits is good, make them halloween shaped/Christmas shaped and decorate with icing and smarties/hundreds and thousands etc.

Pizza is really easy and fun.

Marshmallow top hats. Dip marshmallow in melted choc, put in small cake case, dip smarties in melted choc. Put on top of marshmallow.

we decorated piggy cupcakes at dd's 3rd b'day party and they were a big hit, thought we might attempt them at toddlers some time.

you can make spider cupcake/biscuits fairly easily which could be good for halloween

we generally have just iced bought rich teas in the past and that's been a big hit.

Thanks, some great ideas here. We quite often do biscuit/cake decorating which they love, but wanted to do something "from scratch". Am really liking the idea of bread or pizza. Will now try and think through the logistics...

Easy peasy pizzas
You will need a loaf of Milk roll, which is the round bread.
Jar of pasta sauce, or tomato puree
grated cheese
sliced peppers of different colours
cherry tomatoes
chopped up hot dog sausages
mushrooms
etc
Let the children spread the pasta sauce or puree on the bread and decorate with the toppings
cook in the oven for about 10 minutes
you can use the ready sliced bread buns if you can't get milk roll
They are really easy

you can also make pizzas using half an english muffin...

DS's school did a farm trip recently and they made bread, but shaped the bread into whatever forms the DC wanted. DC made a crocodile, his friend a dolphin. Sadly, by the time we got near them with a camera they had eaten most of their creations.

DS's was a bit like this but a good bit smaller
