Pork defrosting in fridge since last night still frozen - what should I do??

Took 4 pork steaks out of freezer last night to defrost in fridge and they still have icicles on them. If this is still the case at 4pm should I put them in salted water at room temp - is this safe? TIA

I always defrost stubbornly frozen meats in a sealable plastic bag in a sinkful of cold water.

i always do the same sink full of cold water ,it will be ok

Thanks for your replies. I took it out of the fridge in the end and it was fine.
