DS starts school for the first time tommorow, half days at first, just wondering what to give him for his snack.
I've put a banana in and he wants an apple as well, can I slice up the apple and put it in a wee bag in the morning without it turning brown?
If not, what else can I give him instead?

TIA for a panicking about her pfb first day at school mum

just a whole apple would be fine, then it won't go borwn
my ds likes small boxes of raisins too
it's one or the other round here though so banana or apple...

Thanks, raisins are definetly an option, forgot about those.

He'll probably just eat one thing as well, im just panicking about him being hungry (he's only in for 3 hours!)

Bread sticks (with cream cheese dip?)
A pouch of fruit smoothie (frozen if it's a hot day)
Sandwiches
Baby bell cheese
Fresh fruit
Dried fruit
A little pot of dry cereal
Flapjack
Cut veggies
Hard boiled egg
Pot of chickpeas

cut apple would go brown. Would he like carrot sticks? They are fine kept in a bag or tub (if the school is eco friendly )

He only likes cooked carrots.
Blooming school suggested cut apple as well, I thought it would go brown!
Babybells another thing he would eat.

Does it matter if it goes brown?

I am thinking of doing half a fruit bagel for ds... but I am overly agonising about this lol.

How did your ds get on lilac?

we use something like this to slice the apple and then push the pieces together to make it look like a whole apple and then wrap it in foil. It is supposed to prevent it browning too much.

I also do a little bag of grapes and/or strawberries (remove stalk bit but dont slice them as they will go squishy) or I peel a satsuma and put it a small bag for dd to segment herself.
