Can I use red wine instead of white wine??

I've got half a bottle of red to use up (drink it I hear you say!!) and I'm doing a mushroom/bacon/cream/tagliatelle thing tonight which I'd usually put white wine in.

Should I put the red in instead, or just not bother with either?

I'd leave it out, think red will turn it an awfully unappetising colour, drink it smile

If you want to put the wine in then leave out the cream.

Ha ha - you will have pink dinner!

I'd leave it out!

Red wine and cream do not mix - I would drink the wine and leave the dinner as it is.

Haha - I didn't think about the pink result grin

Ok down the hatch it is!

Made this mistake once and the sauce tasted nice but looked like blackberry yogurt
