my chicken and sweet corn soup is not tasty any ideas?

have just made some for dh and i tonight finely chopped carrot celery onion sweet corn stock chicken and seasoning but i just seems to have no taste it not disgeusting just a bit bland have now added some chillie foe heat but still nothing any ideas

Fresh ginger, coriander and lemongrass would all help to boost the flavour.

I find that the stock is key to the taste. If I make my own stock from boiling the chicken carcass I always include all the jelly/fat from the tin too....gross I know but it holds all the flavour.
How about using a stock cube and lots of pepper and herbs?

Would add some more stock and pepper.

Also, if you have any more veg left, fry some off before adding to your soup. Hopefully this will help.
