My favourite picnic food -

veggie sausage rolls

soft brown rolls to be buttered at the picnic and eaten with nice cheese, radishes (with a little twist of sea salt) and celery (wrapped in damp kitchen roll).

Strawberries, peaches, mango.

Nice crisps.

Flapjacks.

Something chocolatey if it can be kept cool enough - maybe one of those coconut meringue chocolatey things.

You can do the stuffed peppers the day before and they will sit quite happily in the fridge overnight - one less thing to worry about.
