10 month old hardly drinks any milk, should I be worried?

(Not sure if this should be in this topic or breast and bottle feeding)

My ds2 is 10 months old and only drinks a total of about 9 or 10 ozs of formula milk a day. I've tried various things but can't get him to drink any more.

He drinks between 4 and 6 oz in the morning,
Sometimes 3 or 4 oz in the aft,
Not usualy any more than about 3oz at bedtime and some nights he doesn't really drink any at all at bedtime.

He has a yoghurt most days and has cows milk with his cereal. I don't think I'm worried about the calcium but am wondering if I should be worried about the iron he's getting.

He has SMA follow on as it has most iron in, usually has weetabix and always has at least some meat, bread and veg every day that has iron in it.

He eats fruit after his cereal so has vitamin C then which will help. Tried giving him orange juice but doesn't seem to like it.

It's so hard to know how much iron they need and how much they absorb compared to how much they eat.

Is there anything else I can easily do to max iron input? How would I know if he doesn't get enough?

Really, don't worry about it so much. He will be fine. Children pretty much survive and even thrive on ANYTHING, don't fret about all these minerals and vitamins just a little of everything is my only rule. You'l tie yourself in knots otherwise. I went down the organic/ homemade route at first and spent half my time emptying uneaten food into the bin or scraping it off the floor. Just feed them what ever it is they like and keep trying something new once a day.

I wouldn't worry about it at all.

If you make sure he has plenty of yogurt, milk on cereal, cheese etc. then his calcium intake shouldn't suffer.

And you're doing the right things re. iron rich foods... fortified cereals, leafy green veg, red meat...

You can't force it down him so I'd concentrate your efforts on delivering a balanced diet overall and I doubt he'll suffer for it.
