Im busy 24/7 with my son and house work and tidying up after my partner. I just don't get time to make sensible meals. Im always bunging stuff into the oven or microwave or just eating biscuits and its starting to make me feel crappy. any ideas for quick but healthy and cheap meals that i can eat on the go?

My very cheap and easy one is a can of tomaotes, one of tuna, a can of sweetcorn and then grated cheese or cottage depending on if you are dieting or not. Cook pasta, drain add those cans and cheese, stir, eat.

Beans on toast with grated cheese was a fab one suggested by my DD3 paediatrician when we were struggling to get her to eat much. It has everything you need protien/carb/calcium wise, and followed by a banana makes a great guilt free meal all round!!!

That sounds ok. I made my first pastabake yesterday which is reasonably healthy but it takes too long to cook. Il get my DS to sleep, dinner will be cooking for about 40 mins then by the time its ready and im just about to take my first mouthful, he wakes up!

I like homous and oatcakes - right there - a bit fatty but filling and healthy.

Prawns and avocado with spinach and tzatsiki???

Fresh pasta (4 mins cook) with steamed veg (5 mins) and pesto or tomato sauce

An apple with green tea if I'm feeling virtuous (not v often)

I marinade chicken breasts and vegetables (courgettes, mushrooms, peppers, mange tout etc) in balsamic vinegar, garlic, lemon juice and chill sauce (sometimes for as little as a few minutes if I'm pushed for time) and whack them all into my George Foreman for 6 minutes and hey presto....healthy, tasty and super quick.
