How long do you usually cook wild rice for?

I've cooked the Tilda Basmati & wild rice, which takes 20 mins, but is v. expensive. Thought I'd buy some wild rice and mix it in with basmati myself, but the packet says it has to cook for 45-50 mins, which seems a bit excessive? Maybe the wild rice in the mixed pack is already partly pre-cooked though?

I've always done it in about 20-25 minutes. 40-45 definately does seem excessive.
