How much a week are you spending on food?

How much a week are you spending on food and how much more is this amount than last year?

I seems to be spending £50 per week around £10 more than this time last year.

Is it going to keep rising? Or will it stabilize now?

I think its stabilised - possibly even starteing to go down. Read that the supermarkets are starting to have price wars again.

I spend about £40 a week in supermarket and another £10 a week getting bits and bobs such as extra fruit and milk. About the same as last year but have swopped from Tesco to Morrisons.

Went back to Tesco today as that end of town and spent £58 which is more than I would spend in Morrisons.

I spend about £80 a week (co-op) but am trying to do a big Aldi shop every 2 weeks- have seen a big difference since I started shopping there

We spend about £80 on a big monthly shop. This includes cleaning supplies, nappies and wipes. Then about £5 a week to top up on milk, fruit and veg and bread. So altogether 95 a month/just under £25 a week. Sounds quite cheap when I work it out like that!

weekly shop is averaging close to 200 euros a week, that includes all groceries not just food and is for a family of 2 adults, 2 kids, one bump (the bump craves expensive things ) and 3 cats

last year i think it was closer to 120/150 euros

But, I did an online Asda shop 2 weeks ago for £67.something & still have enough of almost everything (apart from nappies/wipes/fresh stuff) to last another 2 weeks

Used to be £30 a fortnight at Netto before the lo came along

I typically do £45 one week, and then approx £20 the next, then £45-£50 and then £20 again,

so over a month prob about £130-£140 ish?? about £35 a week I think? possibly?

but tbh I buy when I run out of more than one thing so I usually do the £20 one as a 'top up' type one.

I used to spend around £60pw on food, but have had to slash it to around £25pw which is sooooooo hard to do.

I spend about £160 a week at the moment how is that possible? That includes all lunches for 4 of us and food for 2 cats but still...combination of Asda, Tesco, co-op Morrisons, sainsburys and includes all toiletries, laundry stuff etc. Where am I going wrong?

oh my Lord how on earth do you do it for £25???????? I would seriously like to know? i spend about £400 permonth -everything included, even the little bits ie newspapers, snacks, milk. £25 is amazing - i just dont know how you manage it.

About £120 per week in the supermarket and bread and milk as extras throughout the week.
There are 5 of us and 1 cat (who thoughtfully supplements his own diet with the odd mouse etc). This is a lot less than I used to spend as have ditched M&S and Sainsbury's in favour of Asda.

IMO Aldi is more expensive than Asda.

25 pounds a week is impossible.
I live in London and I know it is pricier than the rest of England but I do think that char-char is having a laugh.

If I am really careful and budget I can do 70-80 pounds a week.
